Description:
“Royal Oak” was a legendary wristwatch from the luxury watch manufacturer Audemars Piquet in the 1980s. Here I show a freely modified design in a classic case in “frosted effect” or better said "Florentine Finish*". Stainless steel case with sapphire crystal (very hard - almost unscratchable), dial with textured surface in ice blue. Hands and indices glow green in the dark. Bracelet with folding clasp. The crown can be screwed in.

(*) In 2017, Audemars Piguet introduced the 40th anniversary edition of the Royal Oak for women, featuring a fascinating new element: the so-called frosted finish. The watch was the result of a collaboration between Audemars Piquet and Florentine jeweler Carolina Bucci. Over the course of several years, Bucci had perfected the technique of hammering tiny indentations into the metal using a diamond-tipped tool, creating a shimmering, textured surface. In the years that followed, Audemars Piquet expanded the use of this technique, making the frosted finish available across several collections, including some larger Royal Oak models and their chronograph versions.
